New tune for the Holidaze

New tune for the Holidaze

Yo Magpies,

Wishing you all the very best this season.

Our new tune is wistful, slow and calm. Perfect for the holidaze. 🙂

A few folks had asked what the piece was in our Day of the Dead short video.
This is that tune in its full realised glory.

I play accordion, and various synths. GDub joins on guitar.

The Value of Vintage Analog Sound Synthesis

Before we left Montreal, I had my Juno 106 vintage analog synthesizer completely refurbished thinking I would sell it but, I haven’t been able to part with it. I have owned it since around 1987 and played it on almost all my early electronica. .
I brought it out of it’s case for this tune. (I somehow fit it into my 8′ x 12′ cubby/music studio). At minute 01:37, I play in a lush, warm analog pad. I’ll just say, there’s a reason why this synth earned its legendary status.

I’d love to hear what you think.

As always, more tunes are in the works.

Creativity and joy are part of the “Resistance”.

Thank you all for traveling with us on this musical adventure.

Love youse all!

Stay safe. Stay musical.
