GDub’s Reflections on 20 years of the Mad Maggies
Reva’s Revelation was released in October 2020 during the Covid lockdown. It was early in the list of home recorded tunes and songs that became our album, Nine.
Maggie named the tune for the main character in the Swedish movie “Border”, a fantastical tale of self-discovery by director Ali Abbasi.
As Mags puts it, “The tune is for all of us who come to realize parts of ourselves that we didn’t understand, or worse, thought were flaws.”
The video is a montage of “scraps” and clips blended with filters in DaVinci Resolve.
